Before you book
Book the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower and the Catacombs before you fly: all three sell timed tickets, and the good slots go first. Notre-Dame and Sacré-Cœur are free, and Sainte-Chapelle is best on a sunny morning.
How many days do you need in Paris?
Four days for the main museums and neighbourhoods, five with a day trip to Versailles.
Do I need to book the Eiffel Tower in advance?
Yes, if you want the lift at a set time. Stair tickets to the second floor are cheaper and often easier to get.
Is Notre-Dame open again?
Yes. It reopened in December 2024 and entry is free; the climb up the towers is a separate paid ticket.
