All 656 destinationsHow it works
- 1
Pick where and when
One city or several, with dates or without. Your trip gets its days, ready to fill.
- 2
Follow the next steps
Your flight, the transfer from the airport, where you stay, tours and tickets, a car and an eSIM. Add each, or skip it.
- 3
Book when you are ready
Each ticket opens on the seller’s site. Mark it booked, and the whole trip stays in one place, on your phone too.
A free trip planner for the whole trip
For the Trip is a free online trip planner. Pick where you are going, and your trip gets its days and a short list of what to sort out next. The flight you already booked, the hotel, the train to the next city and the tour you are still deciding on all sit on the right day, so you can see the whole trip at a glance.
Tours and tickets
Browse tours, tickets and sights city by city, and put them on the days you want.
Airport transfers
A car with a driver from the airport to your hotel, at a fixed price for the whole car.
Car rental
Pick up in town or at the airport, and compare rental companies before you book.
eSIMs
Mobile data for each country of your trip, from well-known eSIM operators.
Flights, trains and stays
Add what you booked elsewhere, with times and confirmation numbers, so the days fit around it.
Restaurants and notes
Keep a dinner booking or a reminder on the day it belongs to.
Build your travel itinerary day by day
An itinerary is the plan you follow once you arrive: what happens each day, in what order and what is already booked. For the Trip builds it as you add plans, so there is no template to fill in.
Days, with or without dates
With dates, plans sit on real days. Without them, you plan by Day 1, Day 2 and add dates later.
Every detail on its day
Times, addresses, seats and confirmation numbers stay with each plan, so there is no digging through emails at the airport.
Booked or still to book
Tickets and stays show what is booked and what is not, so you can see what is left before you go.
On paper too
Print your itinerary or save it as a PDF. The printed version drops the buttons and keeps the plans.
Plan any kind of trip
A trip, a vacation or a holiday: the planner works the same way for a weekend away as for a long trip across several countries.
Multi-city trips
Add several cities or countries to one trip. Pick a whole country, and its main cities are offered for tours and tickets.
Round-the-world and backpacking trips
You don’t need every date. Plan by Day 1, Day 2, add days as the route grows, and put in dates once you know them.
Family vacations
Keep seats, tickets and the hotel in one plan, then print a copy for the rest of the family.
Weekend breaks
One city, two days. Add the hotel, save a museum ticket and a walking tour, and the weekend is planned.
Why use a travel planner?
Travel planning tends to end up in a spreadsheet, a notes app and a pile of confirmation emails. A travel planner puts all of it in one place, in date order, so you stop checking three apps to find your check-in time.
It also shows what is still missing. In For the Trip, that is the job of the next steps: the flight, the airport transfer, the stay, things to do, a car and an eSIM. Each one stays on the list until you add it or skip it.
Trip planners come in three main kinds. Some read your booking emails and build an itinerary from them. Some use AI to draft a route for you. Others, like For the Trip, start with your days and help you fill them with things you can book. It won’t write the plan for you: you choose what goes in, and the planner keeps it in order.
Trip planning questions
How do you use a trip planner?
Start with where you are going and, if you know them, your dates. Add what you have already booked, then work through the next steps and put each plan on its day.
Is For the Trip free?
Yes, planning costs nothing. When you book through our links, the seller pays us a commission, and your price stays the same.
Do I need an account?
Yes, a free one, so your trips stay yours. You sign in with a code sent to your email, and there is no password to remember. You can browse tours and tickets without one.
Can I plan a trip without dates?
Yes. Plan by Day 1, Day 2, and add your dates when you know them.
What if I have already booked everything?
Then it works as a trip organizer. Add each booking with its time and confirmation number, skip the steps you don’t need, and print the trip before you leave.
Do I book on For the Trip?
No, you book and pay on the seller’s site, and they handle changes and refunds. Then mark the plan as booked, and it stays in your trip.
Is there a For the Trip app?
There is nothing to install. For the Trip works in the browser on your phone and computer, and the same trip is there on both once you sign in.
Who can see my trip?
Only you. Trips are private, and there is no public link. To send your plan to someone, save it as a PDF.
